hello!

I’m so glad you’re here.

my story

“Remember who you are!”

When I was a kid, this was often shouted at me from a parent in the other room as I hurried out the front door to play. It was delivered with a bit more effort and eye contact when I was teenager. It's a motto that has been in my family for generations; Remember Who You Are is even inscribed on my grandfather's gravestone. The phrase has a clear appeal, but has always left me with questions.

Who are we? Who am I? Who am I remembering to be, exactly?

Answering these questions for myself and for my family has taken decades and is still a work in progress. But I’m grateful for the opportunity to wrestle with my identity. In 2019, I launched a successful online tool to help families and individuals identify their core values. Although I’ve retired those offerings —- deep, values-centered conversations are still my favorite and you can learn more about my core values work by listening to this podcast episode.

As a fundraising and communications professional, I’ve also wrestled with the identity of the organizations and campaigns I’ve served. Too often, to compete or stay relevant, organizations or candidates forget who they are and lose sight of the values that make them unique. Core values, y’all, that’s still where it’s at.

In the 2022 election cycle, I ran Joy Hofmeister’s campaign for governor in Oklahoma. And got to spend many (many many) hours thinking about who we are as Oklahomans and Americans and the values we all share.

My specialty is working with clients to uncover their true voice and feel confident sharing values-centered messages —- over the dinner table, as a podcast guest or in any high-stakes situation.

ABOUT ME

I live in Oklahoma City with my husband and school aged son.

My career has included nearly 20 years of drafting persuasive messaging and coaching candidates, executives, and fundraisers on how to win votes, deals, and dollars. I’ve worked in politics at the national level, served as a nonprofit executive and managed Joy Hofmeister’s campaign for governor of Oklahoma in 2022.

At Joy for Oklahoma, we leveraged tough-as-nails message discipline, media savvy and a network of over 1,000 grassroots volunteers to help Hofmeister emerge as a top performing Democrat in the country.

I value friendship and hard work, and am drawn to bold projects and big-hearted teams. I am not a good cook, but have many other talents.

I enjoy country music.
